I am pregnant with my 3rd child and as with the first two have been having starnge cravings! I crave that musty smell of old damp houses, the smell of damp towels, sand, dust, gravel & crunching on ice! I haven't actually eaten any of these the inedible though.... Did a bit of research and apparently it's down to pica, an eating disorder affecting mainly children & pregnant women, they don't know what causes it but think it could be down to vitamin/iron deficiency. I have been anaemic when not pregnant and never had these cravings though...
