I only ask as I have an ear infection (get them recurrantly). Desperate to put ear drops in and these are the only ones I have (had them on repeat pre pg).

I have 2 GPs who job share - one of which gave me this prescription when I was in 1st tri and said safe in pg and the other said not safe in pg and gave me a prescription at the time (used up now) for the last infection.

I've looked up online and all I can find is a website saying not tested for safety in pg so don't takr. I'm now note sure what to do and have desperate ear ache - I don't want to go through the night with no drops until tomorrow as the pain will get worse but it's not bad enough for out of hours GP IYKWIM. ANyone????

This is the official document relating to the product - see the pregnancy and lactation section:

thanks mini,

I read online that it is prescribed during pg sometimes if needed, so have taken the decision to take 2 doses today and see my GP tomorrow and she can change the prescription if needed, but at least I have something to start it off today.
