Does this annoy anyone else? I went for my first midwife appt today and her phone kept ringing throughout the appt. I find it really unprofessional. I mean, how can she concentrate on wht she's doing with me if she's dealing with phone calls.

how can she look after a caseload of hundreds of women out and about without having any means of contact?

In a few months time how would you like it if you were worried about baby not moving or whether you were in labour and couldn't contact your midwife during the day when she is visiting other women?

She wasnt out and about, she was in the Gps surgery, but I take your point

I found this a bit odd during my first pregnancy, but when I was in labour, I was very glad that she did always answer her phone!

Also, being nosey, I quite liked hearing her end of the conversations with other pregnant women. Blush
