Hi I am eight weeks pregnant. And the last couple of weeks I have felt quite low. Which is REALLY unlike me. I am delighted that I am pregnant and my OH has been nothing but supportive, but I seem to have lost interest with everything. And can just about manage to do my 40 minute walk into work.
I have been feeling nauceous the last couple of weeks. And really itchy for some bizzare reason?

Also is it right that there are no changes physically until after 12 weeks...my stomach looks swollen! i am wondering if im going to be massive? I dont over eat i am veggie and I have a really healthy diet...so just wondering if this is normal....? :)

Itchiness in pregnancy needs to be checked out by the doctor.

There are lots of things going on with your body at 8 weeks, your hormones are all over the place and that combined with nausea can make you feel a bit low and not yourself, after a couple of months of nausea I tend to get very snappy and angry which is the opposite of my normal self.
I always find myself feeling bloated around the 8 week mark and my trousers don't fit but then by 12 weeks the bloating is gone and my trousers fit again, could the swollen tummy be bloating?

thanks for the above comments. Itchiness seems to have subsided...think the belly is bloating to be honest with you... and touch wood the last few days havent felt so sick.. so fingers crossed.

My scan is in three weeks and want that done so that I know everything is as it should be.. thanks for the replies.

I'm nine weeks and have been all over the place recently too, with NO motivation to do anything whatsover, even getting out of the house is a struggle!

Am hoping all will settle down when the first flush of raging hormones subsides somewhat!

Oh I'm so glad someone else is feeling like I'm feeling (Not glad that you feel rough, of course, just relieved that I'm not alone)! I'm six weeks, and have no energy whatsoever at the minute. I'm getting around ten hours sleep a night, and waking up unable to get out of bed because I feel so exhausted. I'm a teacher, and just about managing to get to half past three when the kids go home, then virtually collapsing in my classroom! People keep asking if I'm okay as I look so tired, and I'm sure the Head has noticed that I keep leaving school at ten past four! On top of that, I have terrible nausea every morning and evening (although I haven't actually been sick yet), and an almost constant stomach ache, which basically feels like bloating, needing the toilet but can't go, etc. I don't think I can cope with this for potentially another 6 weeks :(

OK, whinge over now!
