sore ladybits that I thought was thrush but now I'm not sure...

Hello all,

I've had thrush several times so know what it's like. I've had for a few days mildly sore feeling lady bits and general itchyness (a bit like I'm just about to get a full on dose of thrush). Last night I was all itchy and uncomfy a la thrush so today got a prescription from GP. Thing is, I actually don't now know if I've got thrush.

I'm still itchy and feel sort of inflamed and sore, but the majority of discomfort I notice is at the very front (sort of just where the hair ends and the skin begins just at the front middle). There's no lump, just real tenderness in that specific area and general itchy/soreness in the whole ladybit area.

I'm really not sure now if I have thrush or not, and if not I know not what it might be (other than general pregnancy discomfort). ANyone else have anything similar/words of wisdom?

Hi Angels

Did you get a swab test done? I feel your pain (!). I have been plagued by thrush throughout this pregnancy and can't shift it. If it's any consolation, I have used quite a few pessaries and they haven't worked. As far as I know, pregnant women are prone to fairly intractable thrush. Could it be that the pessary/cream you used hasn't worked.
Did you use the applicator? I haven't used them because I am worried about being too intrusive. The upshot is that I don't think the pessary is hitting the spot so to speak. Could this be the case for you?
What you describe does sound like a thrush type thing, but you would be best to go back to your GP to double check.

Well, I didn't actually speak to GP, only asked the other day for a pessary as I knew I'd need one eventually! i'll give the pessary a go then and see if it helps. She's given me a different one to the caneston on the high street so fingers crossed it helps a bit more.

could be a soap or wash powder allergy. I have this and for ages I was being treated for trush and it wouldnt go. Turned out i had become allergic to soap, and now I have to wash with a special wash. Felt just like thrush though.
