tender/painful bit on outside of upper thigh - pregnancy related?

Hi,

It's really hard to explain but I have a very tender spot on the outside of my upper left thigh. I thought it may be because a couple of thread veins appeared there a few weeks ago and midwife helpline confirmed this was possible and also that very unlikely place for a blood clot so not to worry re that. Then I saw my GP for something else and she took a look but was utterly unconcerned about it and thought maybe the baby is on a nerve leading tot hat bit of my leg (I am 23 weeks pregnant). But just not I sneezed and it was like that spot had an electric shock. Possibly the baby is on a nerve and the sneeze made it press that nerve harder or something - but it is so odd. Just wondered whether anyone else has this or anything similar and if it will get worse/better/stay the same and if you had any way of relieving the symptoms. When it hurts normally (other than when sneezing!) it is like a very tender prickly area.

Thank you

I had that feeling but after emergency cesarian etc.
I am sure is to do with some pressure on nerve, getting it aggravated with a sneeze would confirm my theory :)

I didn't do anything about it, it comes back every now and again and I keep ignoring it.

I guess having a rest would help.
