As title suggests really, was very spotty for whole of 9 months last time despite being a clear skinned person before, bar the odd hormonal zit I have (thus far) escaped the full on acne this time so am I expecting a girl....just interested in your experiences really. Thanks.

well i was exactly the same as you described. loads of acne last time had a ds no acne this time and wondered if it could be a girl. Had scan today and its a ds, think every pregnancy is different.

I have had bad skin so far - I am nearly 26 weeks. The first 3.5 months I had full on acne - really horrible all over my jawline and neck and chest, luckily it has cleared up a bit but am still getting some spots.

My scan says I am having a girl - so make of that what you will!

I've had the opposite, with DS I had fantastic skin. This time around it's been awful! Really spotty and red. I've also suffered a lot more this time with everything, nausea, tiredness, general aches and pains as well.

At the beginning a lot of people said it must mean I'm having a girl, but nope, it's another boy Grin

Every pregnancy is different, I've been surprised how different mine have been!

I've got 2 ds's and a dd. The 'girl' pregnancy was different in the following ways:

  • incredibly greasy hair - utterly vile
  • was soooo sick
  • was incredibly constipated

Well a rough poll of my friends-spotty =boy peachy=girl. Its the higher testosterone levels that give you the spots, but that level will vary with each pregnancy.Certainly though myself and my friends with dds were spot free while pregnant.

My sister was spotty with both DS's, i normally have bad skin but had beautiful clear skin with my first DD, and am pregnant with DD2 and my skin is lovely and clear again. In fact great skin was my first clue i was pregnant! (although my hair has gone crazy frizzy, lol!)

In general it seems most people will be sicker with girls, but spottier with boys.Lovely.
