Hi,

I started with braxton hicks the other day, I'm 30 wks and they first started with period like pain and back ache. They seem to come and go and dont last that long, just wondering if this is normal? also I've started to feel exhausted.

I have a 7 year old and I remember getting braxton hicks at 39 wks.

Thanks for reading

Hi watersprite I am 30 weeks too and have been getting Braxton Hicks for about a week or so, although mine are completely painless (just sudden tightening of my uterus). I have also hit a wall of exhaustion. I have seen that quite a few other ladies entering their third trimester are experiencing a similar thing regarding the tiredness lol. I wouldn't worry too much about your pregnancies being quite different as from what I gather they are all different iyswim .

Hope you enjoy your last ten weeks (it feels like the home stretch to me!) and just relax as much as you can and let everybody around you help as much as they can! x

I'm 33 weeks,I have the Braxton hicks, and so powerful that i have to stand still.

Also really really knackered and breathless.

Feel like shite to be honest.

With both my pregnancies I had them from about 20 weeks. They just got stronger and more frequent as time went on. Then I started getting them in runs, until one evening I had to admit that every 5 minutes was no longer BH!

Onedge I know exactly what you mean, only just turned 30 wks last mon and since then just feel exhausted all the time. My patients are waring thin and though I dont mean it end up having a go at my fella over nothing half of the time. Hope you start to feel better soon

Soapsy just wondering how long you had Braxton hicks before they turned into contractions every 5 min?

I've been having BH since 20 weeks at least. Like Soapsy, I've had hours of contractions every 5 minutes too, and they were even painful, but I am still pregnant. Grr!

I'm in exactly the same boat watersprite although didn't have any BH with DS, I find it a bit unnerving when they resemble period pain TBH. Also feeling tired all the time, everything is such a struggle at the moment.
