4 year old pooing in bed

Dd will be 4 in July. She has ALWAYS pooed at night most of the time

She potty trained well and has been dry for over a year. She has been dry for a fair amount of time at night (apart from poos), so we bit the bullet and took her out of nappies at night.

No problem with weeing, but totally random pooing in bed. The last 3 nights she has done this, and a few other nights too. It is always worse when she hasn't gone in the day.

To get round this, we put her in a nappy at night on non-poohing days. However, she then starts weeing in nappy and moaning to have it taken off, or she just pulls it off. So we either clear out turds all night or battle with nappy changing (at 4 ).

I don't know what to do
