My DD is 20months & showing all 'signs' that she might be ready to start potty training. Follows me to bathroom, very excited to sit (clothed) on her new potty, tells me when she has a poo etc. Over the last couple of months she is very reluctant to lie down to have her nappy changed. It usually results in floods of tears, screaming, kicking, scratching & sometimes biting! She knows she needs to pull trousers up and down to get them on & off, I was wondering whether using pull ups as nappies (rather than as a potty training aid ) might help with the actually pulling trousers/pants up & down. (Plus help stop the nappy change tantrums.) Are they effective enough as nappies or are they really just for 'accidents'?
We are currently building ourselves up to potty training. (Getting her good at doing her own clothes, identifying wet & dry, washing own hands) So was hoping that switching to a more pant like nappy will help DD transition into pants. Finding the whole prospect very daunting!!!
