Potty training refusal 3.5 y.o.

I've been trying to potty train my ds2 for around a year on and off. At the suggestion of the hv we took a longer break after we moved in Feb and I started talking about the potty a few weeks ago. He's now 3.5 and is dry overnight, hides to do a poo and is dry for 3-4 hours during the day.

For the last 2 weeks he's had a wee on a toilet or potty in the morning and sometimes before bed. Yesterday I decided to go cold turkey without nappies and now he's having a tantrum when the potty is mentioned. He's had a wee on the toilet once yesterday and that's it! Everything else was in his pants or on the floor. I ask every 30 mins if he needs potty and have added in a sweet bribe to no avail. He was dry last night.

Has anyone had a similar problem? Any advice?
