Starting potty training ds(2.10) today, so far 2 wees and 1 poo on the floor, nothing in the potty. Is that normal for day one? Should I give up already?

I had a week like that then it suddenly clicked when ds was 2.10. Good luck!

Oh dear ,I'm not sure if that makes me feel better or not!? Will persevere for a few days at least. Did you stay in for a week?

Oh definitely normal!! Ours was three days, first day nothing but wee on the floor, day two occasional wees in potty but mostly on the floor, day three mostly in the potty. She went to nursery on day four and had two accidents and from the it was one or two accidents a week for a couple of weeks.

Softplay was and continues to be an issue. She has so much fun she forgets to go for a wee. One of my parenting lows was rescuing her from the top of a soft play with a giant poo in her pants. She refused to sit in it (fair enough) and I was 8 mo pregnant with dc2.

It's all normal. Good luck Grin

No we didn't, but I only went nappy-less for a morning or afternoon at first. He proved that he could hold it for hours so I gave him a break (nappy) if we needed to go out urgently. He is a real homeboy and is happy staying at home playing though.
