Day 3: DS seems to have mastered wees but is pooing in his pants and now withholding. Nursery tomorrow - wwyd??

Been in the house since Friday doing toilet training with ds1 who is 2.10yo.

He has done brilliantly with the wees and on day two he didn't have any accidents at all - got all 6 wees all day in the toilet!

He also managed to keep his pants and bed totally dry during a 90 minute afternoon nap :-)

However on both day 1 and day 2 he did two awful sloppy poo accidents in his pants/all down his legs which really upset him.

Now it's day 3: a small bit of poo came out in his pants this morning and now he is obviously holding it in :-(

He is supposed to be going back to nursery tomorrow. What should I do?? I want to send him in pants because he has done so well with his wees and it would seem like a massive step back to put him back in pull ups or a nappy.

But I am not sure if it's fair to ask the nursery staff deal with up to 2 really messy horrid poo accidents?? (My sons poos are usually quite loose - he rarely ever does a solid "log" which makes this all the more gross!).

Wwyd about nursery tomorrow?and about the need to poo today? Shall I put him in a pull up after lunch and see if a poo comes out??
