She's just not bothered!

DD is 2.5 months. She understands in theory what she needs to do (she's got a good vocab) but just doesn't do it. She's just said to me conversationally "I wee weed in the chair". And so she had. On another occasion she just squatted down and weed on the carpet and asked for a chocolate!

Other occasions she holds it in for as long as possible, rather than weeing in the potty. Whenever I ask if she needs the potty she says no. She's not uncomfortable on the potty, but the only occasions we've had a wee in there is when she's been on the potty in front of Peppa Pig (and of course that doesn't count, but I thought if she could have a "win" she'd feel more positive about it).

Shall I just give up?

It still counts if it's in front of Peppa Pig! Don't ask her if she needs to go, just say its time to sit on the potty, in front of Peppa, or while you read her a story or blow bubbles or whatever and get her to sit for a couple of minutes. Then give her a sweet or a sticker just for trying, even if she doesn't produce anything.

OK, will do. Both of her little mates have taken to it like ducks to water <sigh>
