Potty training

Potty training DS, but I've got a D&V bug - what do I do if he gets it?

Hi,

I've been potty training DS for a few weeks now and its not going too badly. Still getting a few accidents but hoping that he'll get the hang of it soon. he's 3 so is pretty much taking himself when he needs to go rather than having to be put on the potty or whatever. Hence the accidents are mainly if he's not concentrating.

Anyway, sorry for the TMI but I have a D&V bug today. I've shipped DS out to nursery as he seems fine but I'm wondering what I should do re potty training if he gets the D bit of the bug? (I'm not being coy there, I can't spell it!).

Should I go back to nappies or would that confuse him / knock his confidence? but then equally it might knock his confidence if he is having lots of horrid accidents? I'm Confused

I'm hoping he won't even get it and I've only caught it because I'm pg so have less immune system?

But thought it was better to be prepared....

I still put my DD (just turned 4) in nappies at night when she's got violent D&V, she's been potty trained since 18 months. TBH I think it's be best to explain the the virus means it's necessary and even grownups can have accidents when they've got it.

Hope you feel better soon and that DS escapes scot free.
