Weird question, but I'm just trying to work out if ds is withholding his wees or if he generally doesn't need to go as much as I feel he should. HE's been potty trained for several months and he know has settled into a routine of generally only doing four wees a day. One when he gets up; one around lunchtime; one early evening and then one in the bath before bed.
It seems very little to me, especially as I make sure he drinks as much as possible. Does that sound normal, or should i try to get him going more often? I He hates being made to go and he always says he doesn't need to do anything, even if he actualy does. f I make him sit on the potty every few hours, he not only makes a massive fuss, saying he doesn't need to wee, but he often doesn't produce anything either.

Ditto - my 3 year old is the same. About 4 per day.

How weird, I was going to start a thread asking the same!
I've just started potty training my ds2. He's 3.2 and only seems to need to wee about the same as your ds.
Even though I have another ds I'm kind of new to this as he just did it one day and went straight from nappies to going to the toilet himself unprompted. I can't remember how often he went so was shocked when ds2 was going 3 hours between wees on day one of training!
I was getting frustrated with him not going when I thought he must need a wee by now but I think his age means he doesn't go so much.

Also he doesn't drink much. Some days it's a battle to get him to drink one 300ml cup of juice a day! Today I pretty much forced about 750ml into him over the whole day (which according to another potty training thread I read here is about half what he should have!) and he weed a few more times but still not many.

hey im a pre school teacher, class is from 3-3.5. my 'kids' have drink at breakfast (8oclock) bring toilet at 830-900. they then have drink and snack and drink at ten and go to toilet at half ten/1100. dinner and drink at half twelve and toliet at haf twelve, these are the times i bring them, its v.rare they ask in between as they are brought every hour and a half and of course if they ask in between i always bring them but its important to monitor there drinking habits, if theyv drank alot its every half hour or hour, good luck x
