dd is two next week. she has been taking her nappy off whenever she gets the chance and we are really struggling to think of ways to keep it on especially at night, we started putting her grow bag on inside out which worked for a while as she was unable to open it. she is now uptting her hand down the arm and taking her nappy off with one hand!!!! as a result she can sometimes wet the bed 3 times a night. she asked on and off during the day to sit on the toilet and we let her but she never does a wee.
is she ready to potty train? and has anyone any ideas as to how we stop her taking her nappy off at night.

Have you ever had a little pair of matching knicker-like nappy cover come with a dress (you know so you can't see nappy when she bends over)? Well we put one of those on over her nappy at night so that she can't get to it. Maybe try that?

Some parents have resorted to duct tape over the fastening tabs!

As your DD doesn't do anything on the toilet, I don't think she's ready for training, but you can continue with sitting on the toilet at nappy changes. It's always good to reinforce the positive behaviour, and get her used to the toilet. You never know when she might suddenly decide to do something there, and then you can really hang the bunting out. I think she takes her nappy off just because she can!
