Perhaps everyone else already knows this but thought I would post a warning just in case... Despite the Noddy Wipes my son loves saying they are "flushable" in 5 separate places on the packaging that apparently does not apply to anyone who has a drainage systems that is not brand new.

We've been using them since we started potty training in Nov last year, and yesterday morning as OH was in the shower I noticed the water bubbling up in the garden. I went out for a look - the whole system was backed up - raw sewage and all! Gross. Thankfully DynoRod were stars and had it all fixed within 4 hours, but as soon as the engineer saw my little boy he asked if we flushed wipes. I showed him the Noddy Wipes and he immediately said yep, that's your problem, seen it a hundred times, they say they are flushable but in older systems they build up and block them.

So after handing over a cheque for £156 Angry I sent an email straight off to the Noddy Wipe manufacturers (cc'd to Watchdog)asking for them to reimburse me.

I hope by posting here I will save some more people a wasted, gross and expensive Saturday. Or maybe everyone but me knew this?!?

I'd be writing on paper too...with the bill! They should be investigated by trading standards!

Believe me I will not be letting it go easily! I did send a copy of the bill to them with the email.

If no response to the email then yes, a letter will be going too. In fact I've just noticed that their head office is only about 15 miles from where I live, so if I have to go down there to argue I will.

I'll keep you posted!

Lots of companies monitor Twitter for comments on their brands- might be a good way to get a reaction.
