Potty training

How long did you keep the potty around for, before moving onto to the toilet?

My daughter has just turned 3, she has been dry and clean, day and night for 6 months now.

I've still got a potty downstairs and upstairs and she will happily go on it, doesn't even ask! I've got a trainer seat on the loo and she will also use that, but struggles to get on and off herself, so I have to help her, the toilet is one of the stupid trendy shaped one's and the trainer seat slips around! Hmm

So my question is, should I get rid of the potty and just use the loo now? It does make things easier for me having the potties around, but then its also a pain cleaning them out! Wink

Or does it really not matter, she is not embarrassed by it?

If she's more independent using the potty I'd stick with that tbh. My son's 4 and still alternates between potty and toilet at home - he has short legs though! and needs help to get on toilet so we keep potty available for poos. It's supposed to be a much better position for them to poo in anyway! Didn't stop him using toilet at nursery or whatever.
