Potty training

My son is very small for his age and finding his potty uncomfortable. Any potty suggestions?

I've already posted today but feel that two posts are allowed since it's only my first day of potty training :)

My son is 2.7 months but has only recently moved into 12-18 month clothes. I had a struggle finding pants to fit but did find some 12-18 big boy pants which he's now wearing. The problem is his potty. It's just a fairly cheap, standard potty and he's been lifting his bum off it and putting his hands underneath his legs. He doesn't fit nicely over the hole at all and the sides seem to be digging into his legs, making him very reluctant to stay on it. He's fidgeting and moving around to stop it hurting.

Are there any potties which are more comfortable for a smaller bum? Thanks :)

Hi,
My mum bought one for my son that was the complete opposite because he was hanging over the sides and weeing up the front! So maybe that one would be good for you.
It has a really high back so you can use it backwards.
You can get one from pound land.
Good luck Smile

Just read that back and thought it sounds a little weird!! I meant it's best to use it backwards because with boys you need a high front or spills everywhere!

First day of potty traing is hard work. My son is 2.6 months and we didn't leave the house for three days. But its not for long!!
Hope you get one sorted!!

Thanks for your reply :) I'm going to have a look in the pound shop tonight. Was dreading going to mothercare and parting with a huge amount of cash :)
