Hi all,
This my 1st time on here so I hope I'm in the right place. I've a 2 1/2 week old girl. 1st baby. She's perfect. A good sleeper & good at feeding. I've been feeling low for the last week and a half. I went to my GP yesterday and he thinks I have PND. He prescribed me a mild anti depressant which I started taking yesterday. I'm just feeling so low, anxious & sick to the pit of my stomach! Will this ever pass

Yes it will
Well done for getting help so soon, I left it it for much longer and got very low.
I noticed a change after a few weeks could see i was be being totally unreasonable for expecting dh to kill himself so me and the babies could buy a house with his life insurance I think I was about 3/4mth before I felt like me again. Dh is certainly pleased I am no longer plotting his demise.
Congratulations on your new arrival

It will pass. Well done for getting help so quickly, I waited 6 weeks and regret that now!

Give the medication a chance to kick in and you will start to feel a lot better. You might find you have the odd bad day, but that's perfectly normal.

Hang in there Flowers

I really hope so. I'm 5 days into taking meds. At times I feel a bit better then bang I'm back to where I started. Feeling teary, anxious, knots in my stomach & wondering will i ever be able to cope. My partner being very supportive. Took time off work but he's back to work Tuesday & I'm just dreading it.
