Hi, just wondering if anyone has had this or any other kind of therapy or treatment for their scar tissue/ soreness after tearing? Many thanks.

I was given a steroid cream that really helped for the tightness of the scar tissue. I couldn't sit without it feeling like it was pulling in the wrong direction. It was really bothering me and was so thankful that I was given it as I felt that she was the only doctor who even tried to helped me.

That's interesting- how long did you use the steroid cream? I used oestrogen cream a while ago but not on a prolonged basis, as it is not recommended for long term use. I find it very difficult not to find things rub, even underwear.

It was Trimovate cream. I was told to use it for 6 weeks but I highly doubt I stopped using it after that as I was that conscious of it. I think I carried on using it but to less extent. And even a year after, and any other time it bothered me, I used it then as well. I was also conscious of underwear so I tried everything from massage and even Bio-Oil (I know I probably shouldn't have used oil down there but I really didn't care, ha) I think I wore a lot of knicker-boxers in that time because it "covered" me.

I have tried using almond oil/olive oil to massage the area but with limited success. I might get back in touch with the consultant as I doubt the GP will be able to help much. Thank you. Still not feeling right almost 2 years later!

I was prescribed oestrogen cream and found it helped enormously (it was used inside with an applicator for that scarring and also rubbed over external scars). No oils or anything worked but the cream did!

I used oestrogen cream a year ago but I believe they don't advise it long term. I am having some more Physio and maybe that will help?
