Still bleeding 8 weeks post birth

Just curious really - have got my 8 week check on Thursday with the GP so want to have an idea what I should expect him to say...
About 2 weeks ago (so baby was 6 weeks old) my lochia changed from brown back to red. I took it easy for a few days to see if that helped, but it stayed red (and it's impossible to really take it easy with other kids around), so have carried on life as normal.
Over the last 10 days I have passed a few small clots - no pain / very heavy blood loss / temperature or anything else that might indicate a problem.
So really I'm just wondering what they'll recommend (if anything) at my appointment?

I can't remember how long exactly for me but it was definitely passed the 6 week mark and whenever I googled it the stuff I read made me worry. But it was all fine

I haven't any advice but I am in the same situation. I am coming up to 7 weeks after my c section and my bleeding has turned heavy in the last few days. It was pretty light since birth till now. I feel fine so hopefully it is 'normal'. I told the gp at 6 week check and was told to keep an eye if still bleeding in two weeks to attend a gp. I have my lo eight week check next week so will ask then. My gp did mention possible retained placenta which I'm hoping not . I would be interested to hear what was advised to you at the 8 week check .

This was me with DC1. It stopped after about 9 weeks. At my 6 week appointment with the gp he asked about my bleeding and when I told him it hadn't stopped yet, he made concerned faces and said it wasn't normal but he didn't tell me to do anything or refer me to the hospital or anything. I felt fine and had nothing obviously wrong with me.

Less than 2 months after it stopping I was pregnant with DC2 and she was born a year and week after my first so there couldn't have been that much wrong with me!
