Recipe of the week

penguinmum's creamy fish pie: smoky, seasonal fish in a creamy white sauce with grated, rather than mashed, tatties on top - a meal of the highest comfort-food order.

September 09 - Hello world...... Hello Mummy

(388 Posts)
Thought I'd start a Sept post natal thread.

Bexaa - Boy / Charlie born 03.09.09 / 10lb 3ounces

Feel free to join me xxxx
Dh has been told that he needs to wait until baby is a year old. If I ever get half an hour where my brain is working I'm going to write to our local PCT to ask why they have unequal policies, they would have sterilised me during the c-section but dh has to wait a year!? Or I might just grumble and carry on taking the mini pill for a year wink

They did ask him about that and had the cheek to suggest I should be done! They were happy once they were sure he had considered everything, might be different in your area.

ps. he did faint twice while they did it!
..your brave dh though, what a star!
LJ, I sent my dh to enquire about the snip at the doctor's last week, he claimed that she said they won't consider you for a year after you've had a baby 'in case anything happens to it and you want another one'.

I wonder if he was fibbing, or if different areas have different criteria.

We managed the deed about a week ago. DH was brave and had the snip a couple of weeks ago but it takes 3-4 months before we know if its worked properly.
can't believe some of you are back in the saddle already grin bfing and bum wiping have killed my libido stone dead!

i am going old school and getting a cap at my 6 week check, the doctor says she can't remember the last time she fitted one. i am not looking forward to anyone foraging about in my nethers though.
Babymuma there was a bit of action in our house too last night. smile

It took us ages to get back into the swing of things after dd1 and if truth be told we never really got into doing it regularly which is why DD2 was such a surprise.

I'm getting a coil fitted this week so you can all hear about the gory details if you like.
Excessive use of the word seems there!!
If I didn't have so much hair anyway I think I'd be bald the ammount thats falling out! Unfortunately there is still an ugly betty thing going on unless I straighten it, and the time for that is minimal grin

Feeding seems to have settled down a bit now, and he seems to be having 7/8oz every 4 hours 6am til 6pm. Back on the Infacol for a bit as well, which seems to have helped more than it did when we tried it before. So hoping that lasts!

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]
For an embarrassed face, , type [blush]
For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
