Hello April mums and babies. I've been lurking for a few weeks and enjoying reading about the various stages all the babies are at but this new thread is nice and quiet and I thought I would introduce myself. I have a ds who will be 10 months on Sunday (how did that happen?) and he's getting cheekier by the day. I'm now back at work 4 days a week and ds goes to nursery. Looking forward to chatting with you all.

Hi all, my DD will be 10 months on Sunday!! She's walking around pushing a baby walker now!! I thought she was suppose to stay put and make my life easy until at least 1 !!! Probably her 2yr old brother encouraging her!! Bless him......arrggghhh!

hi kikidee and JPM

my baby is only just 9 months, being a late april baby. I don't think she'll be walking for ages - she has weedy legs that won't support a fat body.

HMC I hope the House of Plague is recovering. we've all had a stomach bug the last week, but mild-ish, I managed to take it on a work meeting and affect my colleagues too who then spent the weekend vomiting. Ways not to be popular...

lucyjones I do that about bringing bedtime forward for all 3 of mine sometimes when I've had enough of them. we sometimes start at 5.30pm (but then it can take a while with 3)

geez your lot have a bunch of teeth, dd's 1st top one is just coming through and she is older than most here.
We aren't going to spain now it was just going to be sooo expensive we costed it all out last night and as we have left it so late we are paying premium for everything so we are now planning on a week in Turkey. The plan is Istanbul, Gallipoli and Cappidokia? Aren't we brave!
Off to get some advice from the travel section now.

chuffed - we are flying out to spain for only £6 each the weekend before easter, we only booked last week (with jet2 who are probably scarily awful). it is £60 each to get back though.

but Istanbul would be lovely too.

yes that is the thing, dh can only 'just' get the 4 days after Easter off so that entails leaving on Easter Friday which isn't very nice on the budget front.
We'll do the coast of spain maybe like October when it will be a bit cheaper.

Fennel that is a good deal, where do they fly from?

Report
Fennel · 01/02/2005 09:35

chuffed, they fly from Manchester (for us) but also from other UK airlines, to about 10 destinations in Spain. not sure if they go to Valencia but Murcia is actually very close to S. Valencia, also to Almeria.

Little ratbag bit me this morning on the boobie! Think I shall stop bf if he's going to do it. he was coughing/barking from 1am this morning - thought he had whooping cough it was so bad. But he seems better this morning - maybe everything seems worse in the dead of night. But I'm blooming knackered!
He's started taking one step in between objects - but if more than one step is required - he drops to his bum and crawls.

TraceyK,

Sounds like croup perhaps rather than whooping cough. He shouldn't get whooping cough if he is up to date with his immunisations...is he?

Can't believe your bargain holiday Fennel. Sounds good to me....How did you get it so cheaply?

We are supposed to be going to Eurodisney in last week of February. However, I'm not holding my breath as they have had a chicken pox case in Day Nursery, so my two are bound to secumb just in time to scupper the trip!

HMC you just can't have that much bad luck

Wanna bet? I hope I'm wrong, but have an uneasy feeling...!

We had to cancel a long weekend in Malta last year due to dd having an ear infection.

My friend reckons I must have crossed a gypsy recently and have been put under a romany curse!

HMC I saw on another thread last week that all your family's illness had put you off the idea of a 3rd baby again. actually since having 3 all mine have been ill very little compared to the last few years. it must be coincidence, or the first two must have worn out all the bugs around.
