Sorry, really couldn't think of something humorous!

Yes, to whoever asked, the discount code (MILKMAN20) worked on the uk.hotmilklingerie.com/ site. And they're doing free shipping at the moment too.

Place marking.

Sooo stressed and down today. DS has been a disaster all weekend. How come everyone else seems to have a portable baby???

Thanks Dom. I like the apt title!

Thanks dom I like the title Smile and thanks for the discount code. I'm in the same M&S nursing bras that I bought for DS1 so they've already had about 2.5 years of constant use, noticed at they're looking threadbare in places! HotMilk will wonder why the influx of people using that code haha!

What's up maybe? Hope things improve for you. When I'm having a bad time it certainly always seems that babies everywhere are totally compliant as mine isn't. I promise it's not true but I know how that feels. Hope you have some nice plans for the week?

My hen do trip was a success and DH only used 3 of the 8 feeds thank goodness! Absense makes the heart grow fonder...I was much more patient and less jot here by the (still frequent) night feeds having had a day away to myself.

Woohoo, one nice flexiwire bra ordered! Hoping very hard that I measured properly...

We went to visit friends and he just would not nap and so had crap night sleep too. He won't stay asleep for longer than 20 minutes in car or pram. He won't be rocked or fed to sleep. He will literally only sleep in his sleepyhead in our room with dummy and white noise. So now I feel I can't take him anywheare as he gets so hysterical without proper naps!!

Thanks for the new thread Dom. I'm mainly wearing jeans of some old summer dresses that are forgiving of my bulk. I'm walking loads and going to boot camp each Thursday but it's the cake and biscuits that are getting me. I have such a sweet tooth still.

Maybe hope you are ok? If it helps dd can be an utter pain in the arse during the day and an angel too. She is like Jekyll and Hyde. Today we all went to Knole park and she was exhausted and in the pram but instead of sleeping she screamed the park down for ages before giving in. In can be really infuriating as the pram Magic doesn't work as well anymore for her.

Magpie so glad he only got through 3 of the feeds. To think he was worried about getting through all 8 Grin. Glad you had a fab hen do.

Hope you're ok maybe. It is not easy at all to take a baby out for a trip.

Anyone else thinking teeth might be imminent? We've had a grumpy, drooling, hands constantly in the mouth baby for the last day or two (and he's usually so chilled). He's even drinking less (unheard of). After it taking an age to calm him down for the evening last night, DP tried teething gel and he was out like a light. I guess teeth are all moving around under the gums making them so uncomfortable.

Sympathies maybe. We have only recently enjoyed the sounds of someone else's child having a tantrum when out with DS1. For years, it was always him.

Re: bras. I've looked everywhere for nursing bras recently and there are none with a back size smaller than 34. The bra intervention thing happened years ago now, so how can these retailers think they can sell size 8 tops to women who apparently have 34 inch chests?

So all my current nursing bras are 5 years old and too big. HotMilk is the only place I found that do a 32. And NONE do a 30. Really, I need a 30DD. But I've ordered 32Ds.

I'm so cross with bra retailers/manufacturers! (Normally a 28D, which are like hens teeth. After growing up believing I was a 34A).

We've had teething-type behaviour too. Lots of drooling and fist chewing (and then gagging, because your first isn't supposed to got ALL THE WAY IN).

Yes Dom! He rams his first right in there then coughs and splutters all over the place. He will also remove the dummy to shove his hand in instead. Tempted to remove the dummy altogether. We did it at this age for DS1.

Rhu we've got the same, hands constantly in his mouth, chewing on fingers, and he's been drooling for weeks. But I bought him some teething rings the other day which he has taken very little interest in, and I put my little finger in his mouth and he just sucked it, didn't really chew down on it. If it is teething, it doesn't seem to be bothering him much yet.

Has anyone else experienced their baby getting really upset on waking from a nap? DS did this today and it's not the first time, although not frequent. He was napping in his cot and I had the monitor downstairs, and he woke up and immediately started crying, really upset sort of crying not just whinging. I ran upstairs but he was really worked up and took ages to calm him down! Then he promptly fell back asleep on me for another hour. Bless him. Do babies have bad dreams?

Maybe I really feel for you. It sounds like you could be talking about my DS. We had proper tears today trying to get him to nap, after finally managing it he woke after 30 mins. He's hardly had any sleep today and is still up now :(

DS has been dribbling loads and sucking his hands too. Everyone keeps telling me he 'must be teething' because he's dribbling and so unsettled. Tempted to just try some teething gel and see what effect it has!

I had a couple of 30 backs from figleaves Dom. I feel your pain, I'm usually a 30g which is really hard to find as most places that do a 30 back assume you're skinny and only go up to a c or d cup. I just have a small frame, lots of chub on top! My baby weight has boosted me up to a 32 though so bras are a bit easier to come by.

We've also got teeth on the move, S is stuffing everything she possibly can into her mouth and dribbling through countless bibs. I remember details started about now too, and he didn't actually get any teeth until about 7 months, it was a long dribbly wait!

I'm a 32J at the moment - 34H is much easier to find in nursing bras though so I wear that more often. I miss real bras SO much though.

C is dribbling like mad at the moment and sucking his fingers and fist a lot too. He's been doing that since 11-12 weeks.

Maybe I was feeling a bit like that earlier this week when E refused to sleep out and about but slept on me at home. We have had a few good days after though and then the mass screams of today. I refuse to be tied to home though. I really do. But equally pushing a screamer around is so stressful.

Ditto to everything already said about teeth, fists and dribble.

Baby has slept for 9 hours for the first time, typically laid here wide awake and he's showing no signs of waking anytime soon.

Placemat to catch up now.

Place marking... I've been lurking...
DS full of cold here after coming back from a weeks holiday in Cornwall.
Lots of fist sucking here too, everyone says oh he must be starving... Which I find so annoying, I'll reply well he's literally just been fed, I then get back well I guess your not providing him enough (EBF)... Angry
Thanks for the bra code in going to see if I can find a bra that isn't hideous like the ones I have for nursing!

I'm starting to think the next2me and sleepyhead were the biggest waste of money ever. Take me back to that blissful 2 weeks when DS slept 7 hours at night! He's waking maybe 4 or 5 times at the moment and I cannot settle him back into his sleepyhead no matter what I try. So he ends up in bed with me.

FS I think we might have the same baby...

The next person who says "oh they're so portable at this age" is getting lamped. Right next to the person who says "is he sleeping through yet?"

Sorry to hear about your nap woes maybe. Have you tried a sling? I've just bought a woven wrap but am also looking to get a ring sling - you can get them reasonably cheap (well, £40ish). Slingsandthings.co.uk have some good obes. you could loook into seeing if you have a sling library local to you where you can rent slings to see how you get on with them. Dd2 will not sleep in buggy really nor the car unless I'm lucky so she has a lot of her naps in the sling. In fact trying to get her to nap in her cot now, just about ready to give up and put her in the sling.. usually I wouldn't bother trying with the cot but I'm looking after dd1 today so could do with able to be more hands on with her.

Ended up co sleeping last night with her as dd2 woke at half 11, 2.30 and then 3.30 and at the 3.30 wake I knew she wasn't hungry, just feeling ill as she was very snuffly. She went straight to sleep next to me bless her and then she slept till 6. I've got a bed guard on my side now so can relax a bit more as was worrying she'd roll over (even though she's shown no signs of doing so yet!)

marmite I have a baby bjorn (which DH uses) and Hana baby wrap sling. When DS was a newborn he would be asleep in both in seconds but now no such luck. I took him out in the Hana baby the other day and he did eventually fall asleep in it but he was wide awake for ages prior and fought and got angry trying to get out before eventually drifting off.

Id love to try a different sling though to see if it makes a difference. No sling library anywhere near me sadly.
