I feel ya - my Dec 13 babies are sleeping less Grin

MrsGSR · 05/02/2015 19:55

Checking in :)

Forgot to say on the last thread that L has been having little tantrums recently. Mostly she just lies flat on the floor and pretends to cry!

TarkaTheOtter · 05/02/2015 20:05

I'm just going to jump back in on this thread as I will never catch up on the old one!
Alex is the reverse - not yet walking but actually sleeping ok... His sister on the other hand. Three tomorrow and been in our bed every night for the last few weeks. Boney toes in my back all night long.

AMillionNameChangesLater · 05/02/2015 20:07

Thanks Olivia!

Henry can't walk unaided, but he's trying to!

The tantrums thing is a bit funny.

Tonight, DH gently told M off for.throwing her dinner on the floor for the cat, and she properly dissolved into tears. I don't know if this is a new thing or if it's because he's been away.

AMillionNameChangesLater · 05/02/2015 21:03

Toby Henry has been doing similar. He crawled across the floor to get to DH, who moved. Henry flung himself on the floor and fake cried... Dh was unmoved, we've had this all with ds1 Grin

Thanks for the new thread million. Your children are just beautiful!

Yes to the tantrums, too. H is acting like Kevin the teenager. Everything is so unfair!

Naturegirl82 · 05/02/2015 22:13

checking in. Smile Thanks for the new thread.

Sunshineseeker80 · 05/02/2015 22:40

Checking in...

E has some good tantrums at the moment. She throws her head back in dramatic slow mo while silently screaming (mouth open, no noise) then the yelling begins. She did it at the swimming teacher for daring to take her for a swim on Tuesday.

She's vommiting today. First time she's ever been pukey sick. Oh my god the smell.

Got offered the job. Subject to references etc start on 16th feb for 8 month contract. Yeay we can move house! Booo I will never be at home!

TarkaTheOtter · 05/02/2015 22:50

Sunshine I can tell how cross dd is by the gap between when she starts screaming and when she actually makes any noise Grin

FelixFelix · 06/02/2015 08:07

Thanks for the new thread.

Sunshine congrats on the job Grin

S never tantrums when daddy is home Hmm Yesterday I was trying to cook her some tea and she kept repeatedly head butting the kitchen cabinet then crying. Very annoying!

The boiler has packed in this morning so it's freezing. Luckily we have got a gas fire so we will just have to not leave the living room all day. Can't get in touch with my landlord until 9 either. Brrrrrrrrrrrr!

AMillionNameChangesLater · 06/02/2015 08:45

Sunshine well done and congratulations!

Well done, sunshine!

Naturegirl82 · 06/02/2015 09:19

Congratulations sunshine.

O doesn't seem to really have tantrums (unless she does at the inlaws and I'm just blissfully unaware!). She seems to be a lovely sunny baby at the moment so hoping this continues.

alteredimages · 06/02/2015 10:35

Thanks for the new thread million. Smile

And congratulations on the new job sunshine. Flowers I know what you mean about being torn. I am a bit the other way around, I keep fantasizing about what we could do if we had another income but I have no support at home and no car so practically it would be a nightmare. I would love a job though, something for me! Let's engineer massive pay rises for our respective DHs...

Hope your landlord sorts the boiler out soon Felix. I thought of you and S the other day when we watched The Furchester Hotel for the first time. Grin

PIL are insisting on us all visiting family tonight but it is the start of the 6 nations. I can't go out, I am busy! And N and DD need to learn Calon Lan! CAN'T THEY SEE THIS IS AN EMERGENCY?!?!

FelixFelix · 06/02/2015 13:13

altered I regularly laugh out loud at the furchester hotel. My favourite one is where they have a customer who is a cookie and they have to put a fake moustache on him to disguise the fact he's a cookie otherwise the Cookie Monster will eat him Grin

I had an 'I AM WOMAN, HEAR ME ROAR' moment and sorted the boiler myself! I'm well chuffed about it.

S is hitting me with every toy today. I'm going to end up covered in bruises as she whacks me really hard Confused How on earth can I teach her not to do it when she just laughs her head off when I say no?

Swannykazoo · 06/02/2015 14:27

So glad the hitting/biting then laughing isn't just my slack gin, in the night garden & Pointless based child-rearing. Had a totally knackered, non-napping teething baby at 5 last nght who did the tantrum thing of just falling like a felled log onto his back. It was exactly like Iggle Puggle does when he was surprised.
The dementors are upon us this weekend and as I'm oncall there'll be no gin. Give me strength!

AMillionNameChangesLater · 06/02/2015 15:11

I like that one too Felix and well done with the boiler!

When Henry slaps, I say really firmly "Gently" and stroke his hand against where he was slapping. No idea if it works, seemed to with ds1

My favourite Furchester episode is the one with the Veggietones Grin

We went to Westfield today to meet up with a friend who is about to move to the States, and accidentally bought P's first shoes. Having refused to demonstrate her walking in the shoe shop, which meant that they thought she only needed pre-walkers, she wandered out of the shop while I was paying. Luckily my friend was following close behind, but I think I'll need to buy some reins soon!

No real tantrums here yet, and luckily not much hitting. Today's new fun thing however was poking me in the eye very slowly, and then laughing. Sadist baby!

Angelesque · 06/02/2015 20:45

Checking in...

Yes to the violence... F has started slapping and kicking me. He laughs when he's done it. TB.

F still isn't walking... He pulls himself up and tentatively cruises, but he can't bend down/squat yet and he's nowhere near walking... Anyone else's DC the same?

book O was the same, absolutely refused to walk in the shop. And as she was so tiny at 8 months they really didn't believe us that she was walking!

TobyLerone · 06/02/2015 21:33

M is the same, angel. She's pretty confident at cruising round the furniture and can stand for a few seconds on her own, but she doesn't know to move her feet. I'll stand her a couple of feet away from me and tell her to walk to me and she'll just pitch forward until I catch her. She thinks it's funny.

FelixFelix · 06/02/2015 21:42

Angel S is the same. She only pulled herself up for the first time on New Year's Eve. She started cruising a few days ago but she's not very good at it Grin I don't think she will be walking for a long time yet.
