I was looking for an August thread but guess the ante-natal group must have moved to Facebook. DD3 (DC4) was born on 30/8 at 37 weeks after a very high speed delivery. I'm starting a thread here anyway, if there are any other August babies around feel free to join me!

My other 3 were all born at 35 weeks so she surprised us by being 3 weeks early! I have 17 months between DD1 & 2, and 16 months between DD2 &3 so the sleepless nights haven't been much of an adjustment tbh, one of our main arguments for having children close together. The first 6-8 weeks are the hardest tbh, after that they usually start to settle into their own routine of feeding and sleeping. Also from past experience once you reach a certain level of tiredness it doesn't get any worse.

Hi,
DS was born on August 31st, a day earlier than he was due. I was expecting him to be late as he is my first too but he couldn't wait. I like the fact there is a level of tiredness where it can get no worse, I'm not sure if I've hit that yet. I struggle on a normal person's amount of sleep (not sure why I thought a baby would make lack of sleep easier to deal with) but fortunately he's a pretty good sleeper once he's gone down and goes off quickly after night feeds. Hownare you both getting on now yours are a little older?

Hello! DD was born 11th August. She sleeps well at night but gets terribly overtired during the day.
There is 19 months between her and DS. Wasn't strictly planned but I wanted them close ish. It's bloody hard at the moment if I'm honest. But I also know it's not forever. Grin thank goodness

Another August mum here - DS2 was born on the 27th August, a week late. He's pretty placid generally, wakes me twice in the night and that's it. There are 28 months between DS1 and DS2. managing them both is harder than the broken sleep ATM :)
