Hello. I'm still rubbish at posting but I do read. Feeling very down just now with all my surgery nonsense and concerned I may be getting depressed. There I've said it.

So sorry flouncy. Hugs.

It's been a crap day. L kept me up half the night with her coughing. Today I caught the stomach flu. So L is sick and wants to be cuddled and I'm covered in baby snot and puking. Lovely. And my period just started. DH comes home and wonders why I can't cook him dinner arghhh.

Gosh I complain so much. I just feel like this is the place where I can and not feel like people are judging me for not being the perfect mommy.

Will try to contribute more on this thread! And not just complain.

Sorry to hear that flouncy, if you need to talk pm me any time, you've been through a lot and still going. It's only natural for things to get too much.

We're going through a weird stage with sleep here, she's refused a nap this afternoon, prob because she dozed off for about 15 mins earlier today when I was at the shops. I am knackered and it is too hot to take her out for another walk to encourage sleepWink And bedtime is weird, she has stopped going into the cot asleep, so we've got sit with her about an hour and pretend to be asleep in the chair! I guess it had to happen sometime!

Flouncey massive hugs. You have been through a hell of a lot so in a way it isn't surprising iykwim.

Get thee back to gp and talk about it

You've been through such a lot Flouncy and I'm sure your J's sleep is an ongoing concern as to when it will improve. Maybe you need to talk to someone about it.

Killed the last thread.

Sorry to hear that flouncy. I think recognition is good. It gives you options to act. Let us know if we can help anyhow.

The phone rang!

Pain is there but less. Think it may be muscular. Sure it will get better soon.

Not sure what's happening with nursery actually kinda forgot about it. I'm coping with both of them better now. Don't feel as overwhelmed.

Flouncy I think it's understandable after the year you've had and needing more surgery. And work is playing on your mind. Talk to us and or speak to your gp. They do say admiring it is the biggest step.

Flouncy It would be surprising if you weren't depressed to be honest. It's a lot to have dealt with.

ValiumQueen · 31/01/2014 13:09

Flouncy get thee to a GP and get thee medicated x If you think you are depressed, then you are. You are no stranger to this, and frankly it is not surprising at all after all you have been through, and continue to go through x big squishy hugs x

Yes Lily get all of Dexter, it just gets better and better. The first episode isn't really representative of the rest of the series. I miss Dexter. Hmm

I agree flouncy I would be cheesed off in your position too. Have thee a low day it's allowed. And tbh we all need a low day sometimes as life can be tough. Much better than bottling. Thanks

A much more positive call with work. They said that once a month wouldn't suit them but what could I offer. So I made a suggestion and said I would be keen for them to put something to me. Sounds like they are a bit overloaded.

They also told me that there has, of late, been some need at the organisation that is the European club looking after all organisations like ours from each European Country so I have to phone them next week. My boss said if there was a space there they could see if it would work as a secondment so I would be on The same Ts and Cs. This would be good as they are used to people be being at home or flying off somewhere from that organisation.

I see this as a bit of a back track. Not got it sorted, but seem to have a bit more of a plan.

Feeling v slightly less scared.

But only slightly.

Smile( not Grin yet)

chasing hope your theory test has been ok! today wasn't it? How is your quest for gainful employment coming on?

Report
FatimaLovesBread · 31/01/2014 14:59

flouncey I think feeling rubbish is to be expected with all you've been through. We're all here no matter how regularly you post, I'm shite at posting but still read too.

kyz Make sure you report back on your bath test Grin When I went swimming with M I'm sure half the pool disappeared up there

Hope you're enjoying the car Detective do you recommend me getting parking sensors on ours?

We've been to a soft play thingy this morning, M loved the slide. My niece comes on a Friday morning before college but she's been offered more shifts at work so today is her last Friday.

I feel poo today, think I'm starting with a cold. Ache all over and sore throat and cough. I've done absolutely nothing housewise, the house is a bombsite but I can't be arsed

Just marking my place!

Sophia, theory test is next Friday - but thanks for thinking of me Grin My quest for employment will begin in earnest after then. My sooper dooper boyfriend is jazzing up my CV for me Grin

Eliza, I believe 3T are Michael Jackson's nephews. There is also a 'supergroup' Hmm made up of Gareth Gates, Dane Bowers, Kavana, Adam Ricketts and another, I believe...

In super exciting news, me and my dad have an audition for Pointless Grin I am beyond excited. It is the week after my theory test so my head is going to be crammed with knowledge after this fortnight Grin

Hello lovelies! I missed you from my holiday at Centre Parcs / the land of no reception! So no MN! I was forced to read books on my tablet whilst feeding him off to sleep for the night Shock . Centre Parcs was a great place for J we had so much fun. He loved the pool and having his four haggisland cousins around to play brawl with. Anyway after an afternoon in the spa, a pedicure (I though they'd need to dremmel my dry heels but no! Grin ) and a scalp and shoulder massage I is chilllllllllllled!

Just caught up so......

Lily congrats!
Donna awwww big newborn cuddle envy here!
Evil hope N is on the mend.
VQ great news about MIL and DH! Smile
Chasing will cheer you on on Pointless.
Pikz woo do you need to POAS?
Stunt the worst 24 hours we've ever had with J was thanks to ibuprofen - our paed tends to recommend a blanket ban on it for reflux babies as apparently it can be agonising Sad . I think they should fecking well warn about it on the side effect leaflet Envy .
Isles yey on the house!
Flouncey get thee to the docs my love you've coped with so much. There's usually only one answer to the "am I depressed?" question.
Kyz I love rats (I had two pet ratties as a kid) hope your wee one is on the mend.
Pidj better luck for this week's class.
PR hope you sleep better tonight.

J is one of the oldest (if smallest) quichelets and you probably remember me whinging about having two months of hellish sleep / developmental leaping but I would like to report we're back in calm waters. He's sleeping thru easily 4 or 5 nights a week and only woke up once (for half an hour) on two nights this week as each night he'd cut a tooth. We're now on 13 teeth (in 4 months!) and even though these were molars he's handling teething much better. So there is hope.

I'm glad that N has gone to sleep, he's better but got to the stage where he is well enough to get into trouble but not 100%. It's not help that it's fucking rained, all fucking week. Angry every where is water logged.

I cooked him a lovely stir fry, but he had a Few mouthfuls of it. I could see he was hungry, and he was shovelling it in, but he just won't chew it. It's very frustrating.

Happy Chinese New Year.

Have had a v busy week at work. Have been reading but not posting. It's DD's third birthday today so am baking a red velvet cake and chocolate cupcakes in readiness for various people popping in this weekend.

Can't remember everything I wanted to say but big hugs to Flouncy and BPLP.
