How old was your child when they got their £250 for Govenment?

Hi

My dd is 16 weeks old and still has not got her's. We moved when she was 4 weeks old, even tho ive had the post redirected i still have not heard a thing.

Any help?????????????

My DS's arrived really quickly. I would call them as some mail cannot be redirected. If you have changed your address regarding your family allowance they should have your new details though. Definately worth a telephone call.

Ok thanks. Im new to all this!
The address for my family allowance is my parents address (thought it was save to give them that address untill we are settled in our new place) So should the £250 be sent there?

I really dont want her to miss out, its not often you get something for nothing

do you need to register them for child benefit first? Does that 'trigger' the child trust fund payment? HAve vague recollection of that from when ds was born...(but was in post-natal haze so...)

Yes you do need to register them first. You get the form in one of the packs (Bounty?) when you are still in hospital. Your voucher should then automatically arrive. Maybe they have a back log. Has there been a baby boom?

FWIW I didn't get a form to reg ds in my bounty pack (or any other new mum freebie pack)...had to phone the benefits office and ask for one...

Oh really - well I take that back then. I remember being given one for both mine while in hospital (Peterborough & York) but I guess it can't be the same everywhere.

I did fill out the form putting my parents address. Maybe your right about back log the hospital was packed !!!Lol

hi Thanks, I phoned yesterday and it was sent to us and returned so i dont know what happened. They are sending another one out to us now. Next is what to do with it!!!!
