Help, 6 week check

MrsMuskett · 17/12/2013 19:50

Hi guys, sorry if this is in the wrong section. Just had my 6 week check n I was rushed in n out,I completely forgot to ask her a bunch of questions n she didn't check me like I thought she would. I had a 3rd degree tear, I feel it's all healed, n I've got no major problems. Just come on my period too.
Can I use tampons now?
Am I ok to exercise?
Can I have sex now?
Can I do my pelvic floor exercises?
Thanks for any advise xx

Not qualified but my dd is now 22wks and I had 2nd degree

In short the answer is yes to all. Although didn't use tampons at that stage myself.

Although gentle exercise as your ligaments will be loose and your hips potentially unstable.

Re sex, potentially need lube as some people say bf causes less natural moisture. Even though my stitches healed fine I did find the skin tighter where the stitches were.

Also use contraception!

Midwife said to me that it's best for you to go on top, you'll be more in control then

Our first time my husband was more scared/wary than I was so as long as your oh is understanding than I don't think position matters.

Don't think my bleed at 6 wks was that heavy but can't really remember. Didn't have a period again for another 3 months and that was only short as still bf.
