We'd love to know how you're thinking of voting in the 2010 General Election and whether Alastair Darling's Budget speech has changed your mind in any way.

Please let us know by taking this short survey.

And, as a little oh-go-on incentive, we're going to enter everyone who takes it (and fills in their username and email address) into a prize draw to win £100 in either Boden or Amazon vouchers.

This survey is open to every Mumsnetter registered with us since February 2010 who is living in the UK or who is resident abroad but is eligible to vote by post or proxy.

Reassuring note about your privacy: we may be doing a few more polls like this over the course of the election but, while we will be tracking how Mumsnetters' voting intentions in general are/aren't changing, we will not be tracking how your individual voting intentions are changing.

Thanks and good luck, MNHQ!

Have completed the survey, but I fear my chances of winning Boden vouchers will be scuppered as I don't conform to the prevailing lefty MN ideology.

paranoid much?

sarah293 Wed 24-Mar-10 14:40:34

only those who registered after feb?

HelenMumsnet (MNHQ) Wed 24-Mar-10 14:41:09

Antoinette - our prize-draw-winner-picking technology is flawlessly non-partisan.

We only put names into the hat. No other info.

So we'd have no way of knowing whether you're intending to vote Tory or Labour or Lib Dem or Green or Monster Raving Looney or even just to spoil your ballot paper.

DuelingFanjo Wed 24-Mar-10 14:42:19

oh - well noticed riven. I registered ages ago.

annmar Wed 24-Mar-10 14:49:18

Ah. Didn't read the whole post until after I did the survey.

Why is it only those who registered after Feb?

herbietea Wed 24-Mar-10 14:50:31

Oops I filled it in but have been here longer than since Febblush

expatinscotland Wed 24-Mar-10 14:52:21

I could use a camcorder from Amazon to record this neighbour from hell and send it to my MP and the press.

tatt Wed 24-Mar-10 14:53:54

assume it is meant to be anyone registered before then - to avoid the parties getting their supporters to sign up and distort the results (as if they would....)

HelenMumsnet (MNHQ) Wed 24-Mar-10 14:55:39

OOOOOOOOOPS blush I meant registered BEFORE February, obviously.

<collects P45>

And actually, am going to change it in the OP now to avoid further confusion...

<slinks off>

HelenMumsnet (MNHQ) Wed 24-Mar-10 14:57:29

And, yes, tatt, you're right.

Thank you HelenMumsnet. I'm sure Johnnie Boden is equally non-partisan.

fruitshootsandheaves Wed 24-Mar-10 19:27:07

would it be illegal to sell my vote on Ebay to someone who knows who to vote for?

HelenMumsnet (MNHQ) Wed 24-Mar-10 20:28:14

<notes fruitshootsandleaves down as OTW for shameless disregard for vote-rigging>

Hassled Thu 25-Mar-10 14:15:09

Are you going to be tracking the Boden/Amazon split and how it changes in the election run-up ?

HelenMumsnet (MNHQ) Thu 25-Mar-10 15:22:20
