Am due on the Daily Politics Show tomorrow and this is the question they are going to be asking of Liam Byrne - Minister for Immigration.
Wondered how Mumsnetters thought?
Worried about the future...

very worried about the future
and on a personal level concerned their plans for 40,000 houses over the next 20 years will swamp my village, the new duel carriageway to serve these houses is planned to go through my house ....

Surprised and ambivalent - and uncomfortable from sitting on the fence
I don't think he's immigration minister - isn't that Phil Woolas' job?
Honestly, you would have thought MNHQ would be au fait with their cabinet ministers....!

By the way I would be absolutely gutted as I have a large bet on the tories winning which my dp doesn't know about....

Disappointed and worried.
A hung parliament would be marginally better I suppose...
Happy as long as the lib-dems took plenty more seats too.
Don't want the Tories and anyone thinking of leaving the country if Labour get back in - don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.

I think there's every chance that they will still be in power. At best we will have a hung parliament.
Less concerned about my income being slashed in half.

Devastated and planning our emigration.
.........could the last net contributor to this country remember to turn the lights out on their way out?
Less concerned about the prospect of a double dip recession (and associated job losses like in the 1980s) than if the Tories won.
immense relief
although I am hoping for a hung parliament tbh

Relieved that the Tories are not in power, wishing that the Lib Dems had done better.

I'd probably cry. And be amazed that the electorate could be stupid enough to vote for the party that has mortgaged our children's futures and ruined the economy.

Relieved, though to be honest, only a little relieved as I don't trust them to be better than the Tories. But my greatest fear is a Tory landslide (at a personal and national level) I can't see a good outcome for the election though
