MN Christian Prayer Request Thread - Moving through the summer........

Hello! DD1 at nursery and other 2 safely tucked up in bed, so just thought I would do a summary and start a new thread!

MaryBS - A customer (K) from Mary's would like prayers for her mother. Prayers for friend from another thread who has recently lost her DH. Prayers for N who is in hospital with ear infection, has just undergone an operation. Prayers for DH who is possibly going to be promoted at work ..... !?

RoseyLea - Has been very poorly with nasty chest infection - prayers that she would recover 100% asap - Praise God for how wonderful and understanding her DC's are being! Prayers for her bro who has been made redundant and is seeking new employment.

mumtogusandalbie - Is back!!!! Prayers for her as she deals with panic and anxiety - put caring, supportive people around her, Lord.

CaptainCaveman - Prayers for friends who recently found out they had lost their baby at the 12 week scan. On-going prayers for her alcoholic Dsis and Dniece, saw HV the other day (how did it go??) Prayers for CC as she copes with anxiety on the "mad-pills"

OnlyJoking - DH has MS and Brain Tumour - underwent surgery yesterday, waiting for news - keep praying ......

Sooz - Computer is broken, but is getting a new one from a nice lady at the library soon - Praise the Lord!!

BedofRosesitAint - Is going to be away for 3 weeks - don't forget her! Things are going much better for her!

QQQ - Things are going well between her and DH. Prayers for her as she struggles with the decision between letting her boys go to rugby or church on a Sun morning come Sept. Prayers for finances as they are v.tight this month.

notsofarnow - Is back!! Prayers for her as health is not good right now - eye infection & stomach bug. Praise God she is getting back into a "helm" position at church! Prayers for her as she copes with a new sort of relationship with her husband.

Podglet - Hello and Welcome! Prayers for her as she has a lot going on right now - Her DGran is in final stage cancer and she would also like prayers for a friend who is in the throes of a break-up from her DH after years of lying and cheating. Prayers for her as she "finds more faith"!

NotQuiteGrownUp - Prayers for DS1 who is grumpy and struggling with the new routine of being on hols and not at school. Prayers for a wonderful time as their family head off on hols for 2 weeks!

Worzella - Prayers for her as she struggles with each day....

CaptainDippy - DH starts new job on Mon 13th Aug - prayers for her as she is feeling v.anxious about the new routine that this will mean.

Prayers for Misdee, Peter and Girls as they wait to see if Peter can have a new heart ......

Prayers for those affected by this new outbreak of Foot and Mouth.

Prayers and Praise for all of these things and for those not mentioned too - esp DutchOma who is such a wonderful and special person to have on this thread, bringing her strength, humour and wisdom to all those with requests etc

please pray for ds, he has had diorrhea (sp, i know), since friday.
i have seen gp, and they dont think hes dehydrated, which was my concern, hes hardly eaten or drunk much.
hes very tired , but has no other symptoms, she thinks its viral, although i feel they say that when they dont really know .
hes fairly chirpy , but a bit fed up i think
its so horrible when they are like this and you cant just take it away, and sometimes i get a fear that i will lose him.
ive been strong most of the time, just sometimes.

Let's not forget to pry for Harrissey and family spending their summer hols on the isle of Harris - Harrissey had bad memories of her previous time there when she suffered from PND (I think that's right) so she asked us to pray that this would be a special, restoring time for her.

My chest infection is much better! Praise God! I'm sooooooooooo tired today tho, after a really busy week last week. Dh is exhausted too so please pray that we can get the rest that we need and be up to full strength soon! Dh has got 2 weeks off work starting today so please pray that this is a lovely time for us to spend together as a family - we need it after all the demands and challenges of this year so far...!

Thanks CD - think we're just about to scrape through without too many problems - partly helped by spending £26 on meat at the butchers in town.....which gives me enough meat (for my VERY big eaters) for 17 meals.

I'm going to have to pay Virgin Media (NTL) at the end of the month when I get paid - which will incur me a £10 "late payment" fee but that's life.

I promise I really will keep uptodate with this thread - been slacking recently

Oh and I've decided to let the DS's go to the Rugby.

Don't be QQQ - you've got a lot on your plate with all your men - post when you can, it is always good to "see" you! We always tight for money - so sympathy here .....

CD - thanks for the new thread - had a sneak at your profile at 3 girls and they are scrummy! Have to point out that my friend with the horrid break up is the H and it is his wife that has done the lying and cheating. However, I feel that both their faith needs strengthening at this time but my thoughts and prayers are for him. Thank you!

Well, in this finally hot weather, DS and I have caught colds - we had a horrid, sticky night last night where neither of us slept well due to coughing and the sniffles. Praying for a drop in temp tonight and a more restful nights sleep as always, prayers for the poorly esp Mufti's DS, hoping he feels lots better soon.

Hope you have a lovely special 2 weeks with your DH rosylea and that you get the rest you need.

Talking of rest, am off for a nap myself now that DS is asleep.

ds just wants to sleep today, on the plus side, (?) , i did catch up with some ironing.

i would go out in the sun , but the monitor broke, so i wouldnt hear him.
but thank GOD for this lovely sunshine, and washing out there and not in the tumble dryer as it was so much lately.

well he went down to theatre at 10, i was told he would be 2 hours in theatre plus 2 hours in recovery, i went down at 2, he was still in theatre, i have just got back home and phoned and he is still in theatre.

CD I know say this every new thread but you really are a superstar!

Dsis went on ok with the HV, she will get her back into counselling for alcohol and other issues. Plus will get her onto some meds for depression. dneice will also get a taxi to and from school when she starts in sept (dsis is also agoraphobic). So good news really but dsis has some work to do.

Currently typing one handed as ds is climbing up my left arm!!

Hee hee, want a laugh? Dh has been looking at some of my postings and he wondered if dh stood for d**khead!! God bless him

I forgot to give you an update on DH's job. It looks almost certain he will get this promotion - to Director! It still has to be confirmed officially, and at the moment, will make very little difference in terms of money or workload. However, it is a sign of confidence in him that his work are doing this - as a number of the existing directors will be retiring in the next 5-10 years, so they are looking to groom replacements! I'm SO SO proud of him!

Have been praying on the other thread for OJ's DH - I believe she has now gone to the hospital, as he is out of surgery. Praying for good news there, hopefully we'll hear more tomorrow...

I've not heard any more on Peter either - has anyone else seen anything? The blog hasn't been updated since Jul 30.

Podglet - I can sympathise with the breakup of a relationship due to lying and cheating - been there, done that (cheated on, not doing the cheating!). Hard to believe that anyone could treat such a wonderful person as I am like that , but a testimony to the profound mercy and compassion of God that I've been able to rebuild my life, in a way that is SOOOO much better than it would have been if I'd stayed with him!

CD - my gosh, you are very glamourous how do you manage to look that good all the time? your girlies really are gorgeous too.

Mary - my friend is finding it very tough at the moment. He and his W were childhood sweethearts and he found out about her deception 3 years ago but "chose" to love her. He now feels he can't continue with the relationship and is filing for annulment (make your own conclusion about this) 13 years after they married. I don't know your story but you sound like one amazingly strong lady

CC - if you havee finished your ironing, do you want mine? It's too hot to iron!

Continuing to pray for OJ's Steve and the children, especially for the appointment with the social worker. At least Oj was a social worker herself once so will be able to link in to their thinking...one hopes
I'm in the shop this morning and have Zac to sleep till 10 pm tonight. Means I can't get on the computer
