Hinduism, does anyone believe?

Hi, I would be interested to hear of the faith and experiences of any believing Hindus. I don't know any in real life. I have friends who are Hindu and follow certain rituals and traditions, but for cultural reasons. In this age of multiculturalism, when there are opportunities to find out about so many different faiths and cultures, this is one major faith that I feel I know and understand nothing.

If anyone is brave enough to share, I would be interesed and grateful.

Hi! I just saw your post now. I'm a Hindu, visit the temple regularly and have received an 'initiation' ordainment into the faith. My children attend a Hindu school but we celebrate festivals such as Easter and Christmas too.

Regarding the actual faith, I tend not to just follow rituals. I pray using japa beads, similar to a rosary and chant the names of Krishna and Rama. This can be done in solitary meditation, or in song form in unison with others. We offer everything we eat to God, and we worship him as we would a person we love and adore. We read holy scriptures such as the Bhagavad- Gita and the Srimad-Bhagavatam.
