A lovely new thread to continue counting our blessings.

Everyone is welcome, of any faith or none at all. Just drop by to pause for a moment and think of what has made you smile or has gone well for you, however small it seems.

Helloooooo! Grin

KinkyDoritoTwirlinginto2015 · 31/12/2014 22:02

I am aiming for 1000 gratitudes in 2015 - so I will be numbering and visiting often, just to warn you all.

A very, very happy, contented, peaceful and blessed new year to all.

bensam · 01/01/2015 07:24

Happy and peaceful NY to you all!

I am thankful for all the wonderful luxuries in our lives which we often take for granted. I'm thankful for our health and the joy which my growing DDs bring me every day.
I'm thankful that despite his terminal cancer, my DF has been well enough to enjoy this special christmas with us and I pray that God will keep him with us for as long as possible and free from pain and discomfort.

KinkyDoritoTwirlinginto2015 · 01/01/2015 12:37

Gratitudes today for ....

My lovely dd and ds - and new year hugs especially from dd last night, with fireworks outside our front door, and some good singing on the telly, whilst we messaged friends online

For the start of a New Year and a new gratitudes thread. Thank you stressed and others for being here and hosting Thanks

For a mug of tasty miso soup which reminds me of days in Japan, as well as trips to London (where I bought it)

For my new calender from ds to help me be a bit organised in 2015. It's a "Where's Wally" one which reminds me to be glad for ds and his lovely sense of humour

That a quiet day at home gives me space to reflect on simple pleasures and gratitudes

Bless you all through 2015. May it be kind to us all x

Annunziata · 01/01/2015 19:39

What a lovely thread.

I'm grateful today for my warm clean home, for going food shopping, for a great day spent with DH and DS, and that today we are happy and healthy.

Feeling a bit fed up about impending return to work. So:

gratitude that I have a job and can pay my bills
for the last day of the holidays tomorrow with a chance to get outside and walk
my lovely family
time to crochet
The fact that my job allows me to help others and I NEED to keep that central in my mind above all the daily grind awfulness

I am grateful for life.

KinkyDorito · 04/01/2015 16:21

Thanks crescent - I'm actually starting to think I need to get back to work, even if I don't want to - structure can be helpful.

I hope you are okay Annunziata?

Annunziata · 04/01/2015 17:58

The abortion thread upset me Kinky. I shouldn't have read it.

JugglingFromHereToThere · 04/01/2015 18:14

Hi all, some lovely gratitudes here as always - very grounding too which is just what I need today

Know just how you feel kinky about going back to work tomorrow. But at least here that means DCs back to school as well. Possibly the return to more structured term time life may have it's benefits for us all. And we can always look forward to the next holidays!

Also grateful today for my faith community and the broader and deeper perspective that brings to my life through my friends there

KinkyDorito · 04/01/2015 19:21

I didn't see it Annunziata, which is probably a good thing. Sorry you felt upset though Sad Thanks.

Juggling it's hard going and frantic, but at least it focuses me on something. I do drift during holidays and overthink things. 6 weeks until half term Grin.

Gratitudes:

A peaceful hour watching daft telly and crocheting
Lovely, lovely family
Home

stressedHEmum · 05/01/2015 14:39

I avoid threads about abortion like the plague, annunziata. I hope you feel a bit better.

gratiudes -

5 health children
DS1 and DDIL safely back to their place after the holidays
DS3 back to college without incident his morning
I was able to go food shopping today - am working in food bank in 20 minutes so that brings it into focus

Annunziata · 05/01/2015 18:54
