So.

Who's in??

Anyone got any ideas of how we can organise this or what to do, where to go?? etc......

I am guessing somewhere fairly central is best - perhaps a weekend away somewhere. Camping? Chalets?

What do people think!!?

Thank you nanou1!

I'd like my DH to be there as I don't drive and my DD's are 1 and 2 and a bit of a handful, iykwim!!? Not keen on camping (not because I'm a snob, but because of the age of my LO's! ) Anyway, nice to have you "in" nanou1. So our list so far comprises of the following ......

Not sure about the whole weekend, maybe the day, if its fairly central, I should be able to do that...

so where would be central? I'm in i think could be a bit expensive for the 6 of us me thinks

I think just a day would be better for me. Have same age gap as CD.. but younger. Neither me or DP drive. shouldnt be a problem aslong as there is a train station near wherever we go! lol

I'm in BTW!

I'd be up for it - summer weekends are pretty busy , what about autumn? Could do w/b7th Aug though during the week. Would London be an obvious place to meet? Katz and I are Sheffield, Cd is south coast I think, and Cambs - London fairly easy esp by train. Natural History or Science Museum maybe - or a park, for a free venue. COuld make a weekend of it or just meet for the day.

I am near Oxford. London doesnt sound too bad... only an hour on the train.

I'm in North Wales,London could be possibility friend is moving there in next few weeks so would have somewhere to stay.

MaryBS · 21/07/2006 17:32

Sounds like London then! Not sure if it'll be with/without kids. I'd probably get the Huntingdon train, faster train service/easier to park.

Nanou1 · 21/07/2006 17:34

so looking forward to meeting you all .
must go now. have a good weekend and will catch up on Monday. x

Mmmmm, so a day out in London seems most popular - I'd prefer a park veune cos my LO's wouldn't really appreciate the more "intellectual" venues!! I'm sure Xavielli agrees!!

Week beginning 7th Aug during the week is ok for me - what about everyone else??

So far, I've got ........

Possibly longwaytogo????

Give me your thoughts .......

Report
MaryBS · 21/07/2006 21:24

Sorry, I meant we'd be on holiday the last 2 weeks in August, down in Cornwall, then Devon!

Report
CaptainDippy · 22/07/2006 06:50

OK - so people seem to prefer a week day?? ... and if people can't do the w/c 7th Aug and the last two weeks in August, then how about the w/c 14th August? How's that for people??

NO, it needs to be a weekend for me, and not 12th August, because someone will be feeling very old on that day!

Report
Pudmog · 22/07/2006 08:44

I would prefer a w/e then i wouldn't have to bring the children. Also I really do not like travelling to London- avoid it at all costs. Would be Ok if I could meet up and travel with someone though.
