Clairaudient

Went to a clairaudient demonstration on Wednesday. Did not get a message but when asked at the end if anyone had a question I asked if loved ones heard us when we spoke to them 'on the other side?' Was told we can ask for a sign to be sent to shoe they are there, for example a shell?!!?

Joked on way home with mil that wouldn't it be weird if I found a shell the next day (bearing in mind don't live near the coast) but didn't actively 'ask' for one.

Thursday afternoon dd aged 6 returns home with a tiny shell she found in the school playground but it was a snail shell, not a sea shell.

Lying in bed asleep this morning, my ipad suddenly turns on and starts playing the song 'make you feel my love.' I haven't played this song for months and my ipad was actually left on a sleep app not on any music app!

I dearly would love to believe but there's always the sceptic in me. Any believers out there care to tell me if they think these were signs or am I grasping at comfort straws?

Sorry to say these are comfort straws. Aside from the fact that you didn't even ask for the shell, it's hardly an unusual occurrence to find a snail shell. And the iPad? Again, unless you asked for that song to be played, it's not even that spooky. Electronic devices do weird stuff all the time.

In contrast I personally believe in signs and from what you have described I would take the shell as a sign from a loved one. I have often heard songs that mean something to me or got other signs just when I need them. And if it makes you feel positive then that's good isn't it?

I hear songs that mean something to me all the time. But that's nothing to do with messages from the dead.

It was quite a clever thing for them to mention a shell, because shells in varying forms are extremely common. If I were to look hard enough I could easily come across a shell every day of my life.

But think about it, as it happens this shell appeared the next day (even though you didn't ask for it and it wasn't the type of shell you were thinking of), how would you have interpreted it if you stopped for petrol a week later and noticed it was a Shell garage? Wouldn't that be spooky? What if the school decided to get a pet tortoise? What if you went to beach and found a ton of shells, or a crab? Chances are, if someone is conscious of looking out for a shell then they'll find one within a few days and this then 'validates' the medium.

Perhaps next time try asking for something unusual and specific and see if that has as good a hit rate....

Janji, these are signs. This is how it happens. Easily dismissed by logic. I am a believer due to my own experiences.

"Easily dismissed by logic."

Most things which are wrong are easily dismissed by logic, why is this any different?

That which can be exerted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

I believe it was a sign.

How did you feel when you saw the shell? I bet your heart skipped a beat. When I'm wondering if something's meant for me to have noticed I try to pay attention to how it makes me feel in that moment.
