CHRISTMAS CARDS-Anybody else not sending any?

For the first time in my life i am plucking up the courage and PLANNING not to send any christmas cards. Please note I am not a Scrooge,I just get fed up with the yearly card to people I never see! I send far too many and receive so many of those dear A4 printouts!
Feel like I will be upsetting people, that is not my intention

I'm not actively choosing not to send them but I've not even thought about sending them.... I'll probably buy some charity ones at the 11th hour.

bah humbug.
You know you will probably upset some people. Can you just whittle your list down to the essentials (ie old aunts who will be sad not to hear from you)?

You are right i will probably upset about 75 people!
I have recently lost 2 girlfriends at 39yrs and 41yrs so my outlook on so many things has changed dramatically

I try to only send them to people who I don't see and close family. In the office that I work in there are 19 people and each year I send an e mail round asking who would like to join me in donating to charity instead of sending cards and this year six of us are doing it.
What is wrong with these people?
Why do you wnat to sit and waste your life writing cards?

I only ever put a few up as I can't be arsed with all the bits of cards everywhere, sorry sound Like a right scrooge, I love Christmas but can't be bothered with all the commercial crap that goes with it.

I don't send Christmas cards. I don't celebrate it though so it's probably not quite the same?

Sometimes I make cards to celebrate Solstice, just for a few closer friends/family. I've never really gone in for the mass mailing thing, regardless!

we don't
just can't get our act together for the overseas posting dates

We do Chinese New Year cards though, well we always intend to.

We started making our own Xmas cards12 years ago and a tradition was set! Arrhhh. Friends and family every year go "what is it this year? Can't wait to see" PRESSURE! DH is a graphic designer (he only gets them printed mind you - I have to create the things!) and every year I am going " have you printed the cards yet?" 2 years ago he brought them home Xmas eve. Needless to say that was too late so I never sent them. You should have heard the uproar!!!!! Am threatening to do the same this year. He has been told he has til Fri 9 Dec or no-one is getting any again!!!! Bah humbug!

Uggh, hate the things, especially colleagues handing them out. Why? you see me every day?

I take a photo of the sluglet loking suitably adorable, slap 'Happy Christmas from the slug family' across it in Word Art and email it to everybody. It's quick, cheap and best of all gives me an opportunity to boast how pretty and photogenic madam is.

Well, I was planning too, I've even bought the cards (NSPCC ones) but having just moved from Italy to Brazil all out stuff is in transit including my address book and it won't arrive before Christmas so I don't think anyone will hear from me this year. Unfortunately all our decorations and Christmas things are in transit too, not that we have anywhere to live to put the stuff up anyway...wow this is going to be a fun one
