Goldie..one of our fancy fish has just died
But i really think she was murdered! She is the only female in the tank and when spawning the tank becomes a nightmare, we've tried removing her before but without much luck (have to have right water temp etc..) Came downstairs to find our pleco (ugly thing its grown into) sucking all the life out of her!!!! Her eye is even missing! Sorry if this is too much info, I'm PG and probably very emotional as it is. DH is the big fish fan, not me, but i'm soooo sad.
I cannot remove her from the tank so have asked DH to hurry home.
Thanks for listening.

Oh ChaCha, that's so sad. I've kept fish too and they are horrendous to each other at times - truely the survival of the fittest. Possibly Goldie wasn't as healthy as she seemed which made her vulnerable.

Pregnancy hormones are horrid - I was v.emotional when I was pg.

Aragon! This is funny. I sent a msg to you ages ago, when i was first pregnant. I'm sure that i read one of your posts and discovered that you are/were a midwife. Correct me if i'm wrong, I don't think you ever saw that post, but it's nice to see you and thanks for reply

Hi ChaCha,

Must have missed your post to me. Yep - was a midwife but haven't practiced for 4 years now. Am now a (shhh) HV . HVs are not popular here but then again some of them do spout some utter divel.

Okay, so i said to myself 'HV' what's that then? Thinking cap on....

Healthy Vegetarian? - no they don't talk drivel
Happy Ventriloquist? - now, they can talk drivel

Really, what an HV? Sorry to be so ignorant?

Awwww..thanks Titania.
I'm much better now Think the initial seeing little Goldie lying there without an eye at the hands of peco was a bit too much for me. You get attached to pets don't you...even fish.
