Introduced new kitten - total disaster. Now what?

I'd be grateful for any advice. I have three cats including one Siamese who 'rules'. On Monday I introduced a Bengal kitten to our home. My O/H decided to try immersion after two days and my Siamese has reacted VERY badly. He won't come near anyone, is hissing and spitting at the world and won't eat. I feel for him but don't know how to help. My O/H says he will settle and refuses to 'pander' to him. Can anyone tell me how long this situation might last and how I can ease my 'Boy's' pain. Thanks

From what I know bengals are sensitive folk and can be highly strung and also cats generally take ages and usually react badly to another cat. I think your hubby is right he will be fine with lots of attention and cuddles from you hope it goes well

Thank you
The Bengal kitten is fine, it's my 2 year old Siamese I'm worried about. He HATES everyone at the moment and me in particular. I don't think he'll ever speak to me again.

We used a puppy crate for the first couple of days when introducing the new kitten to the older cat.

Kept kitten in the crate with food and litter tray and let the older cat carry on as usual while getting used to the smell and presence of the new addition.

Locked older cat out of room now and again so that we could cuddle the kitten and let her explore.

After two days they were fine with each other and after 4 days were cuddling up to each other for a sleep.
