We have two mini schnauzers and they are just coming up for age 5 and as yet no problems. Sorry to hear about Lulu. What were her symptoms and , other than resting the leg, can they give her any treatment to help?
Hope she is feeling OK. They are such lovely dogs with hilarious personalities!

thanks. are your two children friendly Lulu is a very anti social dog and growls and barks at everyone. she just started limping one day and then walking around with her leg in the air. well the vet said that she will need an xray to determine just how bad it ism although our insurance only will pay out for 3000. she is especially worse when it's cold Sad enjoy your two.

Oh poor Lulu. Ours are both very friendly - we have DCs so I guess they are used to being with kids. One of our two can be a bit of growler when someone new comes in , but once he has been petted and talked to he rolls over and does the full "Go on tickle me " routine!
Hope it doesn't turn out to be too bad for her.

If your insurance is not lifetime then this condition will only be covered for the first year from when the condition is diagnosed (on vets records). So to get the maximum from your insurance you need to do the x-ray soon. If it is arthritis on the correct medication she should be able to live a normal life including normal walks. I would imagine they have advised rest till a diagnosis is made.
