We are lizard sitiing this week. Oh joy, feeding crickets to kepp them alive to feed the lizard. Dipping waxworms in meal to feed the lizard!

Anyhow, I put too many crickets in last night - couldn't see how many were in the tube! Couldn't collect them back up` as they were hopping all over tank. Read on internet that if he doesn't eat them they might annoy/nip him? Is this true. Should I worry or just leave them until he has eaten them all?

Thanks

My godson has a lizard. I could phone him but then I'd have to admit that I don't really 'know' you and live down the fact that I obviously don't have a real life.....

If you really need advice I'll just have to live with the shame though.

We did have geckos, the last has just died of very old age (thank god, DP's pets not mine!!) We always just leave the excess crickets in until they've either all been eaten or escaped. We have very loud one that lives under the bath, and an extremely irritating one behind the fridge!!!

I wouldn't worry about it.

He was perkier tonight - grabbed a wax worm as soon as it hit the cage. Down to 3 crickets in cage so will top up tomorrow as he has had some worms. Apparantly i have to put crickets in fridge for a few hours to get them sleepy! I think just in porch should do as that is cold. Crickets in fridge! No way!
