Shouldn't it be PML?

Golly I wish I had not noticed!

It was someone's fault whom I shall not name who used full stops after each letter.

And shouldn't FFS be FF's S?

Yes. Yes. Yes.

This has bugged me for a horribly long time. I have not, however, been so anal as to post about it.

Unlucky - you cracked first.

Oi barcode! I was wondering if I actually met you at the bookfest this year. (From something you said in a thread ages ago about introducing speakers... I met an "introducer" - my MN radar started bleeping...)

Not me! Didn't even get into town this year. I get all weird about the Book Festival sometimes and this year was one of those times.

Oh no. I would never have noticed that but now it will irk me every time.

Grrrrr.

No no no! You are taking pedantry too far. PML just doesn't look or sound like piss myself laughing. It looks like some variant on PMT. The "s" is crucial, not merely standing for "self" but suggesting the "s" of the onomatopoeic "piss".

ROFL also satisfyingly onomatopoeic. ROTFL is no good at all.

Ah fair enough. I made a strangely significant "nice ham" face at a total stranger then. (Well I mean a total total stranger I mean.)
