We can't have a pedants' lounge, we'd only spend all day arguing whether it should be lounge/living rooom/drawing room/etc...

"Up to half price off"

That sounds wrong to me. Surely it's "up to half the price off" or "down to half price" - anyone agree?
But also it offends me in a mathematical sense and I can't put my finger on why - help!
