On a related point, I hate the way some people (e.g. Steve Wright) do dates e.g.

"Thursday February seven, two thousand eight!"

It is Thursday THE seventh OF February two thousand AND eight!

I know it's used a lot too on here, but falling pregnant drives me mad too - 'I fell pregnant' ...

Steve Wright seems like a nice person, but he does have lots of very annoying speech affectations. Lots.
