Woman/Women and Accidentally/Accidently

I don't think this has been covered before, but I've noticed a lot of people both here and on other forums mixing up the use of woman/women. They are talking about one person but will say for example 'a women came up to me...' Or talk about 2 woman, I've even spotted it on TV subtitles.

Another one I've come across is the use of accidently instead of accidentally - grr!

Oh yes I've started to notice he's a lot more than I used to. "So he grabbed he's keys, got in he's car and drove off/of"
Why?? This is really basic stuff. Is this a schools thing?

Stealth I noticed a couple of gems from younger friends this year..

  1. "role on next month"

I replied saying 'Have you got a new job?'

  1. "on root to festival"

Someone on a Facebook selling page I'm on used affect (properly) instead of effect the other day. I nearly fainted!

Cue/queue (or que sometimes) seems problematic too.

Oh yes and the whole tone of those threads

Que his ex barging in and demanding a word...fast forward three weeks and BOOM I'm pregnant

The most common one I see is defiantly instead of definitely. Two words with such different meanings.

I saw that Cutteduppear, I was hoping someone would point it out. I wanted to but didn't dare.

Oh the women thing drives me barmy. Do people think it's the same word for singular and plural? Like deer?

I've seen the woman/women mistake quite alot*, as well as defiantly/definitely - I wonder if that's partly due to crap autocorrect on phones and tablets.

The use of exasperated instead of exacerbated - although I agree with WM about crap autocorrect.

One I'm increasingly mystified by is the use of the word floor when someone means ground.
