Loose/lose
I/me
Missing punctuation of all kinds in a post, so making one long dribble of words that sort of go together but make no sense.

A 'slither of cake' made me gip!

Oh, and "Irregardless". What the hell does that mean???

grin

I keep hearing an advert on the radio (for men's hair dye of all things) and I am sure they are saying it is "full-proof". Because being fullish is never a good thing.

It's cant not CARN'T

Are you sure you're in the right forum?

Tbh I am awful at spelling and grammer...

I'll give you that wink

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts Sat 22-Jun-13 20:54:18

What!? grin That's hilarious! I would have to un-relate (yes I know that isn't a word!) myself! grin

MikeLitoris Sat 22-Jun-13 20:48:38

Oh yes! She often texts me things like 'jew wana cme shps?'

Can hardly understand her!

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts Sat 22-Jun-13 20:14:18

grin Mike!

Jew?? I haven't seen that one before. That's just ridiculous.

MikeLitoris Sat 22-Jun-13 20:08:11

^^ see! I obviously meant here and is my

blush

MikeLitoris Sat 22-Jun-13 20:06:58

I was just about to comment on your fb! I'll say it heee instead.

Its 'seeing as' not 'seems as' or 'seen as'

It's cant not CARN'T

It's 'do you' not 'jew'. This one isy SIL in particular.

Tbh I am awful at spelling and grammer but some people really do get me raging!

SconeRhymesWithGone Sat 22-Jun-13 19:59:30

And its/it's.

Euphemia Sat 22-Jun-13 19:55:35

Your/you're, definitely.

TallulahBetty Sat 22-Jun-13 19:13:03

Oh, and the ever-useful guide to there/their/they're and your/you're.

TallulahBetty Sat 22-Jun-13 19:11:55

Similar to "alot", "aswell" is not a word!!

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts Sat 22-Jun-13 19:08:33

My plan is to annoy them all one by one. They'll drop like flies. grin

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts Sat 22-Jun-13 19:07:36

Oh yes, all 'txt spk' makes my eyes itch.

Do they not realise the days of a text message having a character limit are long gone?!

EmpressOfTheSevenOceans Sat 22-Jun-13 19:07:10

Ooh, hard choice...

Either that a 'hun' is a member of an ancient European nomadic tribe, NOT a shortening for honey (unless you're Winnie-the-Pooh) or that there is no such phrase as 'would of'.

That there is no such word as gawjus, makes me want to punch the person every time.

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts Sat 22-Jun-13 19:01:56

Would I be unreasonable to post a Facebook status every day with an important grammar lesson for them all?

I have just let them all know that there is a difference between slither and sliver after one of them said they were enjoying a slither of cake.

Tomorrow's lesson will be that 'alot' is not a word.

What lessons would you add to my services?

It's for the greater good. grin
