Can I add 'ambivalent'? Often used incorrectly.

What's brought this on then? I agree with you, although there are worse crimes. bloody 'begs the question' from every reporter everywhere in every news bulletin

For the love of Christ, you are 'uninterested' in the details of your PIL's sex life, not 'disinterested'. Showing a 'disinterest' in something means that you're even-handed, lacking in bias and that you have no vested interests in the matter.

Apologies for extreme example ^ but, disturbingly, it was the first scenario to pop into my head hmm
