We're having a first birthday party for my dd (where has her first year gone???). Have invited 10 kids and around 14 adults... need food suggestions... for kids and adults... simple, hassle free stuff , some of which can be prepared the night before.... thanks!

A bowl of Pasta shapes in a dolmio 1 minute microwave job sauce is really nice. It always goes down well at our getogethers. Bowl of grapes, mini scotcheggs, jacket spuds. To name a few that I use anyway. Hope you all have fun.

Big lasagne.sald for the adults?
Cat's remember as far back as 1 - sanwiches, grapes, peeled fruit, jelly, icecream, snacky stuff they can make a real mess with!!!
Oh - and wine for the grown-ups - or one of those peach-type wines only half alcohol

We did teddy bears picnic for dd1, paper tablecloths on floor, sandwiches cut into bear shapes plus any other bear snacks available (pombar crisps and asda biscuits) plus mini honey pots around the room. Later on had big lasagne plus lots of wine. Seem to remember doing bear invites etc as well. I've used those party boxes from party companies to keep the toddlers happy and prevent food fights over the twiglets. We're thinking of a jungle theme for dd4's 1st birthday - bananas, grapes etc and a curry for the grownups
